Women: Wear your most vibrant, colorful outfit! Lehengas and indo western palazzos (crop tops with bell bottom pants) are perfect styles to wear for this event. There will be lots of dancing, so make sure your outfit is comfortable (hence we don’t recommend saris). And lastly, please avoid wearing black or white.
Men: You'll want to wear a traditional Indian outfit called a Kurta or Sherwani. Kurtas will be pulled on over your head, and a Sherwani buttons up like a jacket. You'll want to select a size that matches the typical suit jacket size you wear. You'll want to avoid wearing black or white and if you want something to go with a suit you have, we also have bright vests!
Women: For the baraat and ceremony, we recommend Indian formal attire. Anarkalis and gowns are best for gurdwara ceremonies so you can sit comfortably and cover your head during the ceremony.
Men: Traditional patterned kurtas that are colorful are perfect for this, as you will be dancing with the groom as he enters the venue! Alternatively, you can pair a plain, neutral kurta with a bright, vibrant vest for some extra flair.
Women: Dress to impress. Formal outfits are requested during this event. Indian outfits are also perfect! We recommend a Lehenga, a formal anarkali or a sari - all of which you can find when browsing through our collection. Glamorous, shimmery outfits are appropriate for the grand finale.
Men: For the reception, sherwanis are more appropriate along with vests that you can wear with your typical suits. You'll want to select a size that matches the typical suit jacket size you wear.
