Mendhi ~ 03/20/20

What to wear:

Women: Anarkalis, lehengas and fusion outfits are perfect styles to wear for this event. Don’t worry about showing torso - that is standard with Indian clothing. We recommend something with short sleeves so your hands can easily get mehndi applied to them. And since South Asian weddings are full of color, we suggest staying away from black and white.

Men: You'll want to wear a traditional Indian outfit called a Kurta or Sherwani. Kurta's will be pulled on over your head, and a Sherwani buttons up like a jacket. You'll want to select a size that matches the typical suit jacket size you wear. You'll want to avoid wearing black or white and if you want something to go with a suit you have, we also have vests!

What to wear:

Women: Wear your most vibrant outfit! Lehengas and anarkalis are perfect styles to wear for this event. Don’t worry about showing torso - that is standard with Indian clothing. There will be lots of dancing so make sure your outfit is comfortable (hence we don’t recommend saris). And lastly, please avoid wearing black or white.

What to Wear

Women: Traditional Attire is requested during this ceremony so we recommend a lehenga, a formal anarkali or a sari - all of which you can find when browsing our collection. Traditionally the bride wears red so we will recommend avoiding this color in addition to black and white.

Men: During the Ceremony, you'll want to wear a traditional Indian outfit called a Kurta or Sherwani. Kurtas will be pulled on over your head, and a Sherwani buttons up like a jacket. You'll want to select a size that matches the typical suit jacket size you wear. Again, you'll want to avoid wearing black or white.
